Walid Jebili, who joined the IBCR in July 2023, brings significant experience in the field of monitoring, evaluation and learning. He holds a PhD in economics and a master’s degree in statistics, and has developed a solid understanding of the challenges of inclusive development through his various professional experiences.
In his practice, Mr Jebili emphasises a community-based approach, valuing listening to and understanding the needs of local populations. This focus on participatory evaluation and empowerment has been a common thread throughout his professional career.
Before joining the IBCR, Mr Jebili worked in collaboration with universities, development agencies and NGOs. This experience enabled him to play an active role in the design and evaluation of various programmes, with the emphasis on converting analysis into practical action.
Within the IBCR, Mr Jebili contributes to the development and optimisation of the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning system, ensuring that it serves as a lever for strengthening the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of programmes. Committed to a process of continuous learning and improvement, it aims to strengthen the impact and sustainability of the organisation’s initiatives, while respecting its ethical principles and quality standards.
