Nicolas Robe

Nicolas holds a master’s degree in International Security and Defense from the University of Grenoble. After that, he acquired over ten years of experience in the humanitarian and development sector.

Nicolas entered the humanitarian and development sector first at the French Red Cross and then at Médecins du Monde as an intern on the theme of security. He moved to Kalemie in the DRC as a logistician for Médecins du Monde France and for Solidarités Internationale as a base manager in Bentiu, South Sudan.

He started working for ACTED in 2010 as Logistics Manager in DRC. He became Deputy Country Director, then Country Director in CAR, Mali and Niger.

In 2015, he joined ACTED’s headquarters and became Director of Security & Safety where he supervised 35 to 40 countries on security and humanitarian access issues. He has traveled to many countries in the Middle East, Asia and Africa and has participated in numerous humanitarian responses in CAR, DRC, South Sudan, Sahel, Yemen, Syria and Iraq, the Philippines and Nigeria.

Nicolas moved to Quebec with his family during the summer of 2018.
