The COVID-19 pandemic is having a significant impact across all aspects of sustainable development governments, the private sector, civil society, educational institutions and citizens as we adjust to new realities. Children are experiencing new realities with schools closed, home confinement and limited access to their support networks and regular activities in communities.
The IBCR participated earlier this week in the Pan-Canadian International Child Protection Network Canada on the impact of COVID-19 on child protection. Facilitated by experts from the Canadian Red Cross and SOS Children’s Village, along with our SEAR* coordinator, this webinar addressed various topics such as the new reality of activities and means of intervention, particularly in fragile contexts and taking into account emerging best practices.
