As part of the PRONINEZ Project (Reinforcing the Child Protection System in Honduras), the IBCR field team met with key actors of the child protection system in order to gather all necessary data for the Mapping Report preparation.
Over the past two months, several professionals have participated in discussions and focus groups, including police officers, lawyers and prosecutors, and civil servants from the Ministry of Children and Family and the Ministry of the Interior. The latter recently implemented a technical guide for an integral approach in the accompaniment of women victims of gender-based violence.
Once the Mapping Report has been completed, training tools will be developped. Better suited to the judicial sectors, the security forces and civil servants, they will also take greater account of the children’s rights.
