During the first two weeks of October, the entire IBCR team gathered in the Montreal office for the annual 2022 strategic retreat.
After two years during which the team could not meet due to the health situation, the headquarters staff from Africa, Europe, South America and Canada were finally able to meet together, along with the heads of its projects in Senegal and Burkina Faso and the regional managers of its international volunteer program PRIDE.

The recap
The team reflected on strategies and actions that will enable the implementation of quality programmes for the promotion and protection of children’s rights around the world.
Teams from each department have been able to contribute to the reflection on the challenges faced in the past, lessons learned and goals for the future, particularly in terms of planning, development and collaboration, while the IBCR team has almost doubled in size in two years to allow for the implementation of more comprehensive, ambitious and effective projects to fulfil the IBCR’s mission: to work for a world in which every child can enjoy his or her rights equally and in all circumstances.
