The IBCR will co-host the IVCO 2022 Forum

The International Bureau for Children’s Rights is pleased to announce that it will co-organize the next International Volunteering in Development Forum (IVCO) with Crossroads International. This edition will take place in autumn 2022, both virtually and face-to-face in Senegal, around the theme “A New Dawn for Volunteering in Development”.

As the world slowly emerges from the pandemic, the conference will explore different models of volunteer cooperation, as well as possible international development approaches, including the expertise of volunteers from the South, to contribute to the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

In the coming months, the Bureau will work closely with Crossroads International, the Senegalese government, as well as its partners and other organisations involved in volunteering in Senegal and West Africa to prepare the Forum.

Forum international du volontariat pour le développement (IVCO)

Each year, the Forum brings together around 100 international organisations, government bodies, volunteers and partners from the North and South to discuss the challenges and opportunities of volunteering and international development. As a key event in the field of volunteer cooperation, the forum promotes the exchange of ideas, the sharing of practices and advocacy initiatives, and fosters the creation of networks of support and exchange between the various stakeholders in the sector.

The IBCR will also participate in the IVCO 2021 in October with an e-stand dedicated to its volunteer cooperation project : PRIDE. The fair will be held on the 18-19 and 20 October 2021.
