In partnership with UNICEF Benin and the national authorities, the Bureau is presently starting the second phase of its project on reinforcing and expanding the services of the Central Office for the Protection of Minors and Families and for the Prevention of Human Trafficking.
The IBCR has so far developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for child protection services, police stations, and national police force. The Bureau has also created practical training kits on children’s rights for the police force and the Central Office for the Protection of Minors and Families. We are now supporting them with the launch of the SOPs and their decentralization strategy.
In addition, the Bureau has been asked to develop a training kit on children’s rights for social workers in Benin.
Stay tuned for further news on the project !
