The IBCR supports the Global Campaign to End Child Immigration Detention

Today, June 12th, is a day of action. The IBCR, as a supporter of the Global Campaign to End Child Immigration Detention, is proud to uphold the principles behind this cause. As such, the testimony of Gholam Reza Hassanpour at the United Nations Human Rights Council is an enlightening one, himself being a former unaccompanied refugee child from Afghanistan.

2017 marks five years since the Global Campaign to End Child Immigration Detention was launched by the International Detention Coalition at the 19th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland. Since then, the campaign has grown support and partnerships across all regions of the world.
