For several years, Julie Dénommée has been forging an expertise that combines practices to promote children’s rights with scientific research. Holder of a doctorate in anthropology and a DEA in philosophy for children, she initially worked on the development of research tools and collaborative methodologies with children in West Africa. In this context, she coordinated various regional child participation projects. These projects have led her to focus on communication for development and the use of culture as a tool for social change and the dissemination of knowledge.

At the same time, she carried out a wide range of consultations in Latin America and Africa, where she implemented participatory evaluation and experience capitalization processes. She remains convinced of the importance of monitoring and learning throughout our actions in order to always remain attentive to the needs of the populations and local actors. After two years as an audiovisual consultant for the IBCR, she decided to join the team as a Expertise and ATS Coordinator, Child Participation Focal Point.
