Our volunteers

Paola Cuarán studied law with a specialization in administrative law at the National University of Colombia . She also worked with different public entities such as the Social Welfare Fund of Congress and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, working in the field of social security.

In 2019, she obtained a "Master's Degree in International Human Rights Protection" from the University of Alcalá in Spain. As part of her Master's , she worked with the Spanish Red Cross, at the Centre for the Study of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, where she collaborated on the study of Spain's II National Human Rights Plan. Paola has also carried out research on autonomous lethal weapons and nuclear weapons, as part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement's project to promote their prohibition. She also collaborated in the development of the Spanish Red Cross Principles and Values Strategic Plan.

Paola is currently working as a legal advisor to the Coalition against the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict in Colombia (COALICO).
