Odon du Christ Mupepe Mandola G.N.

Children's Rights Advisor

Holding a BA degree in law from the University of Kinshasa, Odon du Christ Mupepe began his professional career in the judiciary as a Public Prosecutor, then as a judge of the peace, acting as a judge for children.

In addition to the judiciary, he has been involved as a training consultant in elementary legal concepts by training paralegals and resource personel in civil society organisations on behalf of the Belgian International NGO RCN Justice & Democracy.

Odon du Christ Mupepe has a long, solid, rich and versatile professional experience. He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of planning, management and the implementation of development projects. 

He has representation  and coordination capabilities and manages international development programs, particularly in the areas of judicial capacity-building and police reform, including the area of child protection and the fight against impunity for sexual violence.

He has worked with RCN Justice & Democracy as Head of Antenna Bas-Congo and Project Manager, with ProJustice/USAID as Coordinator of Judicial Training, with PwC/SSAPR as Provincial Coordinator in Kasaï Occidental now known as Kasaï Central and also as Project Manager to support the General Inspection of the Police. Has has also worked with Avocats sans Frontières as Program Manager and GIZ/Project to strengthen the Congolese National Police in the fight against sexual violence and the protection of the child.

Odon joined the IBCR in January 2018 as a Justice Expert in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
