Organisational management consultant

SUMMARY OF THE OFFER

The International Bureau for Children's Rights (IBCR), a Canadian NGO dedicated to the protection and promotion of children's rights, is seeking an Organizational Management Consultant to support the KEOOGO Association as part of its PRIDE volunteer cooperation program.

Through this mandate, share your skills and expertise to advise, assist, and train the Keoogo team and implement innovative solutions to enable Keoogo to optimize its organizational performance in order to carry out its mission with children in street situations.

Founded in 2004 and based in the capital city of Ouagadougou, Keoogo's main mission is to contribute to the protection and promotion of the rights of street children and to offer them sustainable future prospects through targeted partnerships and protection and rehabilitation services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The volunteer will be responsible for :

  • Contribute to the capacity building of the partner organisation in the development of organisational strategies and project management tools, through the realisation of workshops to reflect on and define the organisation's strategic axes
  • Support the Keoogo association in :
  • The development or revision of planning, daily management and monitoring-evaluation tools for the organisation's projects and programmes
  • Strengthening the capitalisation of its experiences and good practices (process definition, creation of tools, etc.)
  • The construction of a Strategic Orientation Plan, an Operational Plan and a 5-year Organisational Development Plan (2022-2027)
  • Developing management and planning tools to improve organisational performance
  • Developing and delivering training workshops on organisational dynamics and management

Other tasks related to the PRIDE project :

  • Support the start-up of the PRIDE Social Laboratory activities
  • Write progress reports on the activities carried out
  • Participate in the promotion of international volunteering in Canada by participating in IBCR's communication efforts (writing articles or blog posts on the volunteering experience, videos, interviews, events...)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

REQUIREMENTS :

Technical skills :

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in administration, organizational management, project management or equivalent
  • At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience in project or organisational management
  • Experience in strategic plan development
  • Knowledge of project management and/or M&E learning programmes
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and tools in the Outlook environment (Teams, mail, SharePoint, Forms, etc.) and Google (Google Docs, Google Drive, Gmail, etc.).

People skills :

  • High adaptability and ability to be flexible in the face of change
  • Excellent interpersonal and participatory skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task and be proactive
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and gender equality
  • Promotion of a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the partner organisation's team and with other volunteers

Strengths:

  • Experience in a developing country or in international cooperation
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in human or children's rights
  • Knowledge of gender equality principles
