Organisational Management Consultant

SUMMARY OF THE OFFER
The International Bureau for Children's Rights (IBCR), a Canadian NGO dedicated to the protection and promotion of children's rights, is seeking, within the framework of its PRIDE volunteer cooperation programme, a consultant in organisational management to support its partner, the Clinique d'expertise juridique et social (CEJUS), in organisational management.
Through this mandate, share your skills and expertise to advise, assist, and train the CEJUS team in order to optimize its organizational performance to support it in the implementation of its human rights mission. The mandate includes defining strategies, designing various plans for the organisation and developing management, planning and monitoring tools, among other tasks.
ABOUT THE HOST STRUCTURE
CEJUS works to promote and protect human rights by providing free legal and judicial assistance to some of the most vulnerable populations. The support offered ranges from listening and guidance sessions to in-depth assistance before the courts if necessary.
The 3 axes of intervention of the CEJUS: Popularising the law in general / Assisting populations on a legal and social level / Enabling students to learn in a different way by multiplying bridges between the university and the legal professions

RESPONSIBILITIES
The volunteer will be responsible for :
- To contribute to the reinforcement of the partner organisation's capacities in terms of elaborating organisational strategies and project management tools, by carrying out workshops to reflect on and define the organisation's strategic axes
- Strengthen the process of capitalisation of the partner's experiences and good practices (definition of the process, creation of tools, etc.)
- Support CEJUS in :
- The construction of its Strategic Orientation Plan, Operational Plan and Organisational Development Plan for the next 5 years (2022 -2027)
- The development of tools for planning, daily management and monitoring-evaluation of its activities and projects
- Develop and deliver training workshops on organisational dynamics and management
- Support the strengthening of the partner organisation in terms of work organisation, information management, communication or any other activity related to its expertise
Other tasks related to the PRIDE project :
- Support the start-up of PRIDE's Social Laboratory activities in Togo
- Write progress reports on the activities carried out
- Participate in the promotion of international volunteering in Canada by participating in IBCR's communication efforts (writing articles or blog posts on the volunteering experience, videos, interviews, events...)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Requirements :
Technical skills :
- Bachelor and/or Master's degree in administration, organisational management, project management or equivalent
- At least 2 to 3 years of significant professional experience in project or organisational management
- Experience in developing strategic plans
- Knowledge of project management and/or M&E learning programmes
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and tools from the Outlook environment (Teams, mail, SharePoint, Forms, etc.) and Google (Google Docs, Google Drive, Gmail, etc.).
Human skills :
- Highly adaptable and flexible in the face of change
- Excellent interpersonal and participatory skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task and be proactive
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and gender equality
- Promotion of a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the partner organisation's team and with other volunteers
Assets
- Experience in a developing country or in international cooperation
- Knowledge of and/or interest in human or children's rights
- Knowledge of gender equality principles
