Organisational and Project Management Advisor

*Open to Canadian citizens and/or permanent residents of Canada only

Deployment periods: September 2022 - February 2023 - June 2023

Working language: French or Spanish (depending on the country of intervention)

Duration of the mandate: 10 months 



Under the responsibility of the PRIDE Regional Manager, the volunteer advisor will work with the partner organisation to ensure the implementation of individual and organisational capacity building activities in the framework of the volunteer cooperation programme. The candidate will advise, assist and provide technical support to the partner organisation's team in their reflections and work on organisational management. They will also contribute to the implementation of the programme. The incumbent will also contribute to the development of reports and communication articles related to the activities developed and implemented during his/her mandate.



  • Contribute to the capacity building of the partner organisation in the development of organisational strategies and project management tools;
  • Provide technical and methodological support to the partner organisation in the development and updating of institutional policies and gender sensitive protocols;
  • Support the partner organisation in terms of work organisation, information management, communications and other activities related to its expertise;
  • Support the partner in the development, revision and/or monitoring of the strategic plan, as well as its dissemination;
  • Develop and deliver training workshops on organisational dynamics and management;
  • Contribute to the development of planning, monitoring and evaluation tools for activities, programmes and models designed for the partner organisation;
  • Support the development of day-to-day project management tools;
  • Support the organisation in activities related to the Social Laboratory;
  • Participate in the initial mapping of actors and the updating of the child protection system profile of the country of intervention;
  • Support the organisation in activities related to the social laboratory;
  • Write progress reports on the activities implemented in collaboration with the partner organisation;
  • Write articles about the work done and the experience of the volunteer cooperation;

*The responsibilities are given as an example and may differ from the elaborated mandate that will be proposed to the candidate. All mandates are developed with the partners and every tasks are based on their needs.



General requirements

  • Permanent residence or Canadian citizenship;
  • Undergraduate degree in communications or other relevant field;
  • Minimum 2-3 years of significant work experience in project management, strategic planning or organisational development and management functions;
  • Fluency in written and spoken French. The candidate must be able to write, edit, comment and correct texts in French;
  • For assignments in Central and South America, a professional level of Spanish is required;
  • Ability to prepare and conduct training courses and provide recommendations;
  • Expertise in new information technologies;
  • Exceptional ability to work as part of a team while being autonomous in his/her work;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Cultural sensitivity and high adaptability;


  • Possessing a specialist degree or Master's degree;
  • Knowledge and interest in children's rights, with a focus on the child protection system and access to justice for minors;
  • Knowledge in Arabic or Malagasy (intermediate or advanced level)
  • Experience in working abroad;
  • Experience in voluntary cooperation;
  • Knowledge in gender equality principles;
  • Knowledge in results-based management and the human rights-based approach;
  • Knowledge in international development issues
  • Knowledge in security measures in international cooperation
