On May 15th 2017, Tarik Marc, project manager for the Voluntary Cooperation Programme at the IBCR and Malika Saher, former voluntary co operant in Côte d’Ivoire, have given a workshop with two classes at the Elementary International School La Vérendrye, in Montreal. As part of this workshop, children have been able to learn about the Bureau, its mission and its role as well as the Volunteer Cooperation Programme PRODEF implemented in consortium with Lawyers Without Borders Canada.
They also had the opportunity to learn more about the Convention on the rights of child and put into practice their knowledge acquired during the presentation by participating in an activity. During this exercise, the students, grouped in teams, had to find what rights were infringed in the short stories in which they were presented. This meeting has thus allowed the students to know their rights and to address their doubts through a period of questions.
