Two new volunteers have started their mandate in Colombia and Cote d’Ivoire!

On June 26 and 27, the IBCR has given a pre-deployment conference to two new volunteers participating in the Voluntary Cooperation Programme “Protection of Children, Women and Other Vulnerable Populations”. They both left at the beginning of July to Colombia and Cote d’Ivoire to start their 8-month mandate.

Rocio Delmonte Palomares will act as a legal advisor with the organisation Coalico that fights against the involvement of children and young people in armed conflict in Colombia. This new IBCR partner will benefit from Rocio’s expertise regarding children’s rights for demobilized children as part of the peace process in the country.

On the other side, Roger Clavet will fly to the African continent and act as a communication advisor to one of the first partners of the IBCR since the creation of the Voluntary Cooperation Programme, the Association of Women Lawyers of Cote d’Ivoire. Roger will bring his expertise to enhance the different tools and communication strategies of the organisation.

We wish good luck to our two new recruits who have very great mandate to fulfill! Welcome to the family of IBCR volunteers!
