Pilot training for United Nation Officers

2016-12-05-17-28-35-2-004The IBCR’s team is currently at the United Nations Logistics Base in Brindisi (Italy) to conduct a workshop. This workshop will lead to the creation of new toolkit on child protection for United Nation police.

34 participants from 24 UN country members, are taking part in this pilot training from december 5th to december 9th. And six observers from various peacekeeping organisations are also present. 

The eight-module course focuses on the pre-deployment phase of peacekeeping missions around the world. Taking a hand-on approche, it addresses expertises such as child care technics, child protection, child labor in peacekeeping operations, detention and arrest, prevention and diversion, and monitoring and reporting.
