One week of capacity building workshops with the DINAF

From February 12 to 16, 2018, the IBCR’S Justice for Children Specialist and the Child Protection Specialist in Honduras facilitated a full week of workshops with State officials from the Directorate for Children, Adolescents and Family (DINAF).

The purpose of the workshop was to establish a space for reflection on training and the capacity building  needs for the DINAF staff, in addition to clarifying intervention processes with young witnesses, victims and in conflict with the law. This week of exchanges will be useful to develop the training kit for the DINAF as well as standard operating procedures for its staff. It is from a participatory methodology perspective that the IBCR has held this type of workshop to jointly conceptualize the needs of partners regarding the rights of children.
