Participate alongside the IBCR in the International Development Week!

From February 7 to 13, the International Bureau for Children’s Rights is celebrating International Development Week, an annual initiative that highlights the contribution of Canadian international solidarity organizations and their partners to sustainable development around the world.

The theme of this year’s International Development Week is “Reaching for the Goals” and has three main themes:

  • gender equality,
  • health
  • climate change.

The initiative also refers to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), which form a global action plan to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030.

The current health context compels us to celebrate this 31st International Development Week virtually. During this week, the International Bureau for Children’s Rights will co-organize and participate in three events: a virtual human library: “Encountering Voluntary Cooperation”, a public meeting “Stories of Impact”, and the “Crossroads of Cooperation” exhibition.

Through these events, learn more about volunteer cooperation and international solidarity by getting a glimpse into the realities of people working in this field.
