Innovating for children’s rights with a Social Lab

Within the framework of its voluntary cooperation project PRIDE (project for strengthening all aspects of children’s rights, as for its French acronym), the IBCR has created a Social Laboratory.

An innovative collaborative process bringing together the partners of the PRIDE network, this Social Lab allows for exchanges on common themes and the identification of good practices in the promotion and respect of children’s rights in the 11 countries of the project.

Like an incubator for projects, it will also allow for the development and testing of new approaches and innovative solutions to strengthen the protection of children and guarantee the respect of their rights in all circumstances.

Over the 7 years of the PRIDE, the good practices identified and the innovations created within the framework of the Laboratory will be made available to any person, organisation, institution or government wishing to drive change at a local, regional or international level and thus advance the protection and respect of children’s rights around the world.

The Social Laboratory was launched in the autumn of 2021, with meetings bringing together partners from each country to present the process and launch discussions on local issues. In order to frame the exchanges, the organisations in each country have defined a common theme for the current year, which corresponds to the major national child protection issues (violence against children, gender-based violence, child work…).
