IBCR strengthens its commitment against human trafficking in Honduras

The IBCR, in collaboration with the Honduran Institute of Tourism, participated in the organization of the 15th annual meeting of the Regional Action Group of the Americas (GARA). The event took place from 8 to 10 November in Copán, Honduras, and addressed the issues of trafficking in persons, sexual exploitation, child labour and other forms of human and child rights abuse.

Mobilising public and private sector actors from more than 10 South American countries such as Chile, Brazil and Peru, this event marks a real step forward in the coordination of regional institutional actors fighting against human trafficking and sexual exploitation of children in the travel and tourism sector.

This collaboration is part of the IBCR’s commitment to provide a regional response to the crimes of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
