With a Bachelor’s degree (BAC+5) in psychology, Romeo Baluge has focused his career in the field of child protection and gender with responsibilities for coordination and technical support to projects and programs. As a member of the national organization Coopération Locale pour le Développement Régional, he was in charge of the project All Children for a Green World from 2006 to 2008.
Passionate about working with children and other protection actors, Romeo has worked with several children’s rights organizations: American Bar Association, War Child Uk, International Rescue Committee where he held managerial and humanitarian coordination positions in emergency and development contexts from 2009 to 2020. He also spent two years in a community resilience project in Central Africa with the NGO Invisible Children.
He joined the IBCR DRC Office at the end of November 2022 to help strengthen the child protection system.
