Hermann Kékéré

Holder of two bachelor’s degrees in law, one in civil law obtained at the Faculty of Law of the University of Benin and the other in common law, Juris Doctor, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Moncton in New Brunswick, and a Master’s degree (Master 2) in international and European fundamental rights, obtained at the University of Nantes in France, Djidjoho Hermann NOUNAWON KÉKÉRÉ then obtained a Bachelor’s degree in organisation management at the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. 

After more than 10 years of experience in the judicial sector in Benin (courts and tribunals and the Human Rights Directorate), he held several international positions, in particular as Head of the Children’s Rights Project in Romania for the International Organisation of La Francophonie (2013-2014).

Then, he was Head of several projects at the Groupe d’Action pour le Progrès et la Paix (G.A.P.P.-Africa), notably in Mali, Benin and Togo. He has led several projects funded by USAID, 

International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL), FHI 360, CIVICUS, OIF in the field of fundamental rights, protection of civic space, women’s and children’s rights, protection of the rights of women in extreme vulnerability and girls.

He was also a volunteer for the Centre d’étude et de coopération internationale (CECI) and the consortium formed by Education de qualité pour tous (EQPT), Éducation internationale, Fédération des CÉGEPS du Québec, Forum des éducatrices africaines (FAWE) and the Institut de la Francophonie pour l’Éducation et la Formation (IFEF). 

As part of his university research, he defended his Master 2 on sexual violence committed by UN peacekeepers.  

Since August 2022, he is the Project Office Manager – Senegal for IBCR.
