Felipe Juárez

Felipe holds a master’s degree in international development cooperation from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). He began his career in the humanitarian and development world in 2006 as an intern with Medicus Mundi in Burkina Faso. The following year, he became General Coordinator of the organisation and remained in Burkina until 2009. He returned to Spain to work as Regional Delegate for Action Against Hunger between 2010 and 2012. He returned to Burkina Faso in 2012-2013. He then joined the Spanish Red Cross as Delegate in Guinea-Bissau (2014-2015), then as Head of Delegation in Niger (2016-2019). After a break, he will work for Médecins du Monde in Spain from 2021 to 2022.

A lover of Africa, Felipe has extensive experience in managing development and humanitarian action projects, working in a variety of intervention sectors (food security, malnutrition, water and sanitation, community development, protection, refugee populations, etc.).

Felipe will join the IBCR team in December 2022 as Head of Office in Senegal.
