Violence against children has been termed as endemic with reports showing that by 2025 children affected by violence will be higher than those affected by HIV (World Health Organziation 2016). While the state of child report for 2015 warns that the sustainable development goals will not be achieved unless there is a deliberate action to invest in children services by all stakeholders to give children a fair chance which includes ending violence against children (Bocquenet et al. 2016).
