Since 2001, in at least 21 conflicts, hundreds of thousands of children have been involved in armed conflicts or rebellions (Human Rights Watch).

Today, it is estimated that at least 2 million children, as young as 5 years old, are sexually exploited for commercial reasons (World Vision).

Each year, 1.2 million children are victims of trafficking, resulting in their sexual exploitation, use in domestic labour, or secret adoptions (Unicef International).
