Welcome to Mr. Yvan Conoir, our new Director of Programmes!

The International Bureau for Children’s Rights is pleased to welcome its new Director of Programmes, Mr. Yvan Conoir. Mr. Conoir has worked for several decades in the defence of human rights and has recognized experience in peacekeeping, international cooperation and international humanitarian institutions and organizations.

He has had the opportunity to work for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), UNICEF, CARE Canada, the Centre for International Studies and Cooperation and the L.B. Pearson Peacekeeping Centre. He is also a published author, researcher in residence at the Raoul-Dandurand Chair (UQAM) and a member of the Scientific Council of the French Red Cross.

A busy career that led him to join the IBCR by reconnecting with his first professional love: leading programmes in line with his values and as close as possible to the people and their needs.

The IBCR is delighted with Mr. Conoir’s arrival in its Montreal office, and warmly welcomes him to its team!
