The IBCR has participated, on November 21, 2017, at United Nations Day at UQÀM, which was organised by the United Nations Association in Canada – Greater Montreal.

The IBCR has been invited to give a conference to present the International Bureau for Children’s Rights as well as the Vountary Cooperation Programme: Protection of Children, Women and other Vulnerable Populations (PRODEF).

The discussions with students and the public in general have been interesting. Many have asked questions about internships and volunteer opportunities within the organisation. Other United Nations organisations and NGOs based in Montreal have also been part of this event, such as the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the Unesco Institute for Statistics, the International Civil Aviation Organization, OXFAM-Quebec and SUCO.
